Two Weeks In.. I think.

About two weeks ago, Erin challenged me to the swim meet that's going down November 20th. I pledged that in two months, I could beat her by getting to my old high school times --when my swimming peaked. I timed myself late last week and I'm at 30 seconds for my 50yard fly and i think 27 for my 50yard free. Check out my stat page!

Because I have Crohn's disease, I'm supposed to be on a strict diet but the medicine I'm taking has me feeling so good that I've let my diet slip. I also started out training for this event by going swimming 3 times a week and occasionally working out at the gym afterwards. Since then, though, school and work continue to exhaust me, leaving little energy to be had for training (or homework!).

After work, I went to the pool and the heater was finally working again! Swimming in 75 degree was not fun and thankfully it's back to 85 degree. During the nice relaxing workout, another guy plopped into the lane the I was swimming solo in. I just finished a set and he told me that he was watching me swim from outside of the pool; he called my swimming "beautiful." That didn't creep me out at all.
